In loving memory ofMartha L Lewis

LEWIS -Martha L :
January 30th 1955 - June 5, 2014 
It is with profound sadness that we 
announce the passing of our beloved 
mother, wife and sister, Martha Lewis. 
Martha entered into eternal peace on 
June 5, 2014 at the age of 59 after 
complications from kidney failure. 
She will be lovingly remembered and 
dearly missed by her husband of 43 
years Seymour Lewis, 5 children, 2 
sons-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law, 11 
grandchildren, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, 
as well as countless relatives and 
friends. She was predeceased by her 
parents and sister. Martha was 
known for her infectious laughter, 
generosity and always open heart to 
others. Her joy and passion was most 
evident in her cooking , her 
gardening and tending her animals. 
She was an active member in her 
community and politics for years, 
leaving many to celebrate her life and 
keep her memory alive. A 
celebration of this beautiful soul will 
take place on Sunday, July 13, 
2014 at 2:30 pm at The New Town 
Baptist Church, Hayes New Town 
Clarendon.
A reception for family, friends and 
those whose lives Martha has 
touched to follow at the Lewis's family 
home in Hayes New Town.
Our family wishes to express our 
gratitude for the sympathy, the 
comforting words and prayers 
extended to us.
May God continue to bless you all.
We will hold her in our hearts forever
And while we mourn her passing.
We take solace in the peace she has 
found. For she will dwell in the house 
of the Lord forever.
